The Consumerization of IT & How Enterprises Should Respond

The user driven workplace has seen an explosive growth across business organizations of all types. It’s not just the techies anymore, but the adoption of mobile technologies and enterprise applications is moving forward among all employees with or without corporate IT division’s intervention.

Analyst firms predicted sales of Smartphone’s, tablets and other mobile devices to skyrocket in 2012, along with applications and cloud based services designed for these devices. This trend provides organizations with a strong opportunity to improve efficiency, business productivity and profitability.

Leveraging on these benefits also means corporate IT having to alter their policies selectively loosen controls and rethink how they deliver services to employees, integrate with existing systems and ensure security and compliance.
